We had the last graduation party for our children, ever.
K put alot of time and creative energy into it. I put alot of time, creative energy and money. Not many people showed up. It was sad for all of us but K. She liked that because she could talk to every one that came.
We had pulled pork, coleslaw, a cold pasta salad, fruit tray, vegetable tray, cookies and cake. The day before was nice but a little windy. The day of the party was warm, windy and then thunderstorms. My brother, sister-in-law, niece and her husband were here when the storms came through. They helped us take down everything. We visited with them until the storm was over.
A lot of food leftovers to eat. Good thing this was our last.
My oldest daughter's boyfriend was at our house almost all day helping. What a trooper.
Three weeks after this party we went to Grand Rapids, Michigan for Orientation for K. Nine hours out there, next day listening to speakers, then nine hours next day back. K. soon will be off to college. Yes I will miss here, but I am ready to have my chicks gone and time for me.
Here are a couple of pictures of the centerpieces from her party.

Along The Board Links

I hope the Minnesota Wild can get some awesome players this upcoming season. Though I have to wonder why they are not willing to pay more for players that have been playing this sport for a long time. Though I do agree with them about the new, young players. Those players need to earn what they are worth.

Philips Healthcare Links

So cool. Especially with all of the brain injuries from sports. There seems to be a increase especially among the young in school. Also, I know of more people having blood clots in their brains.
So glad companies like this are inventing these products. Yeah for Philips.

I want my mom to get one. She is 88 and lives by herself in her house. Three and a half years ago my dad passed away. He fell in their home, broke his back, had surgery and pneumonia.
My mother-in-law lives in a nursing home. She falls on average of twice to three times a month. Last two resulted in her hitting her head.
I feel so strongly that all elderly citizens have one of these. I hope the cost comes down some. I know that Philip's is relatively inexpensive.

Broken Together
Broken Together
This is a good song for my marriage. It has been and still is broken. I don't know what to do. He says it is me, or it is him. The circle never ends.
Only God can.
