School is over

A long time since I have written anything.  I have been busy these last few weeks.

My son came home from college for the summer.  He finished his first year at this college.  It has been good to have him home.  A left his two year job at a sandwich restaurant before going away.  He wanted to get a job working for a different place.  A. has been applying for the past five weeks at over 15 places.  No interviews yet.  His former supervisor said if he didn't get anything he was welcomed back.  A has not gone that route yet and I don't blame him.  So much for the economy improving.  There are too many workers out there looking for something.

On  happier note, our youngest graduated from high school this month.  We will be having the grad party at the end.  K. was busy with the end of school during the first weeks of A being home.  The ceremony was great.  There were over 500 students.  It was inside and that was good since it was raining and cold that day.  The day before it was sunny and 83.  All of my family came, but there wasn't anyone from my husbands.  It is looking to be the same for her grad party.  We both have small families so it doesn't take much to have it be no one.  K.  graduated with the lowest honors.  She will be going to college nine hours away from home.

Now I really need to get going on the rest of the planning for the party.  Luckily I don't work full time.  Some weeks hardly at all.  Once again, recession is in the works.

My oldest is still living in her apartment.  That means come fall, it will be just my husband and I.  It is going to feel really weird.  I have been a part-time stay-at-home mom and some years a full-time.  This means more time for me with our horse, except I will still have to try to work a lot to pay for two children college that are over two hours from home.  Where do the years go?
