Same old, same old, somewhat

Well, things are somewhat the same.  My daughter and her family are still living with us.  They are in the process of trying to switch banks.  They can't get a house until that is complete.

My son is still working at Target.  He loves it but wants a job using his college degree.  He for some reason can't.  He does seem to have his celiac disease under control with his diet.

My youngest still has her job, though the company had a small layoff structure.  She does work from home two to three days a week.  It is very stressful for me.

My husband has his job but his company had a terrible third quarter.

I still have both of mine.  Target is entering their busy season and I probably will be scheduled more.  The other company I work for seems to be in a slow period.  I almost run out of things to do before it is time for me to go home.  Since I am part-time, if I do they would tell me to just go home early.  That means the hours I am not there I don't get paid.

My horse is doing great.  She is doing so good that we want a bigger indoor arena to ride her in especially in the winter to keep exercising her.  I can't find a facility that has that along with grass pastures in a dollar amount I can afford.

I am trying to find new place to take pictures on my days off from work.  That is difficult to do and stay close to home.  Or, the weather is terrible on my days off.  Here are a few pictures from a trip my daughter and I took to Philadelphia.

Same old, same old

Everything is the same.  My daughter and her family still live with us.  My son still just works at Target.  Our finances are always in the hole.

My horse though is still doing good since her injury.  But my brother-in-law just passed away from Marfans syndrome.

Maybe next month there will all good things to report.

Trying to see God's work in all my trials.

My oldest daughter and her family are still living with us.  Her husband was offered a promotion which meant not moving to Boston.  They then started the process of looking for a house.  They have found one and just waiting to be approved for a mortgage.

My poor, poor horse keeps losing her shoes.  When she doesn't have them on she is sore.  We don't really ride her because of that.  I am afraid that she will tear that same tendon or another one because of this.  Somehow though she is still walking fifteen months after the injury.

My teeth are falling apart.  Literally, I have had another root canal on a tooth that already did.  I had a tooth break off the roots Memorial Day weekend.  I went in after it and got the roots extracted.  I know will probably have to have another one done and then a implant.  I try to brush my teeth three times a day, floos once a day and now I even use a waterpik.  Yet still they  I are dying.

My son still has no job using his degree.  He just got hired at a Target store working in the Electronics department.  I work at a different store than him.  Now he will have to figure out if he will change majors or do more classes to help him get a job.

I just want a break from everything but can't get it.  I wanted to go somewhere during the long Independence Day weekend.  My husband and I went to visit his younger brother who has congestive heart failure.  Not really the kind of relaxing weekend I wants.  I guess my Mexico trip was it.

I do still love taking pictures.  Here are a few.

Same Old, Same Old

Well, my son quit his fast food job due to a manager that lied.  I don't know what he is going to do for money to pay his car loan and student loans.  He can't find anything.

My son-in-law, daughter and granddaughter will be living with us until July.  That is six adults and one baby.

I finally got my dollar per hour raise at my office job.  I do still get bored there on some days.

My horse is doing great but we won't ever be able to take her to competitions for fear of injuring that tendon again.

My husband ignores me, my son, sometimes my oldest and sometimes my granddaughter to give his attention to our youngest daughter.  In my opinion, something is wrong.  I am tired of not feeling like I am his wife.

We are still living paycheck to paycheck and I want to buy more lenses for my camera.  To end this on a bright note, I am going to attach a few pictures from my fancy camera.  I hope you enjoy.

When will life be easy?

I am soo tired of this life.  Between our finances, my son not having a job using his degree, my new job is now boring, etc.

I took my husband to see MercyMe in concert for his birthday.  They were great.  I wish we had had a fun day but instead we had been fighting so the concert was not as fun as it could have been.

My youngest graduated from college, yeah!!!  She already has a job.

My horse is healed from her injury.  We have been riding her at the different gaits and she still is not limping.

I guess there are a couple of good things happening in my life, it doesn't seem like it.  We have to remember to put things in perspective.

As the song from Mercyme states, don't throw in the towel, we win, win.  I have to remember that.

Gurushots

Look at all of my achievements.  I love taking pictures of animals, scenery and plants.  I wish I could make money from doing this but not.  If you want to make money you need to take pictures of people.

I also wish I had more money to buy more accessories.  But not.  So for now, I will work on being happy with what I have.  The one thing I can do is take lessons from a photographer on how to use my camera and choose the perfect composition.

What for more from me.

MEXICO

My husband and I finally went to a all-inclusive resort in Mexico.  And without the kids and not with one of his work meetings.  Yeah, only three times in almost thirty-two years of marriage.

The first day was pretty good.  I did have a sinus headache due to the heat.  The next day we sat through four employees asking us questions.  The last person took us to the restaurant that had a breakfast buffet.  By this time, it was mid morning and we hadn't eaten yet.  After we eat, we got a tour of the "Privelge" side of the resort.  We got a pitch to become members of that chain of hotels.  The cost, let's just say it is liking taking out a car loan to pay for it.  Now, my headache was back and gotten worse, I tried to excuse myself but the lady thought I was faking it.  By the time we left, It was almost noon and I just wanted to sleep.  The rest of the day spending walking around the resort so we knew where everything was.

The third day we did a tour of the Mayan ruins in the town called Tulum.  There were about four or five couples with us and a great guide named Mario.  The drive there was kind of long but saw a part of Mexico we hadn't seen.  The poverty is still prevalent.  It is hard to believe with the fancy resorts along the beach.  The ruins site was wonderful.  Our guide was funny but very informative.  I love seeing historical places.  Don't always agree with what happened but I believe we all need to know these things.

The last two days we either spend by the beach or the pools.  We figured since we were where it was 40 degrees warmer than back at home, we should get lots of sun rays.

The food was great, four or five restaurants along with a coffee shop that my husband lived at.  My allergies decided to make it loud hello and caused me to develop a cold.  About half of the time I slept.  I think I will need to do this again.

Here are a couple of pictures.

GuruShots

Still having fun with this, but I have to admit that when I don't do well, I get frustrated.  I need to remember that this is just a hobby and it is not what people think.

I love taking pictures, which I believe came from my dad.  I am pleased with the number of votes I received for this picture in just four days.
